Wave energy is fast becoming a more attractive option among renewable forms of energy. Ocean waves, currents and tides have the potential to contribute to the world’s electricity needs.

While the EU has called for 22 percent of it’s electricity needs to be met by renewables by 2010, the U.S. has lagged behind. Renewable energy currently meets about six percent of European energy demand.
